Choosing your floating bean bag: the essentials

The fabric decides drying time and colour

The honeycomb polyester mesh models — Jumbo Swimming and Mini Jumbo Swimming — filter water perfectly, but the fabric is sponge-like: allow one to several days of drying, beads included. Under prolonged exposure their colours will eventually fade, without affecting buoyancy or comfort.

The solution-dyed acrylic canvas models — Jumbo UV Swimming in Sunbrella® and Junior UV Swimming in Agora® — dry quickly and carry a 5-year guarantee against fading: the pigment is built into the fibre rather than applied to the surface. These are the models to choose if the bean bag stays outdoors all season.

Size is about room, not load

Buoyancy comes from the filling rather than an air chamber, so the limit on how many people fit is available surface. The 130 × 170 cm format seats two adults and lets you stretch out on the water; 130 × 80 cm is a one-seater; the Junior's 150 × 115 cm is designed for children and easier to handle in the water.

A cover that can be replaced, a filling that lasts

Each model has its replacement cover, which fits back onto the existing filling — the Jumbo UV Swimming Cover even matches the exact format of the Jumbo Swimming, so you can move from mesh to solution-dyed canvas without buying a new bean bag. The virgin beads, expanded in two stages, do not crush and keep their round shape; a 380-litre refill is available to top up a filling.
